What if I were to tell you that our bodies are made to live 120 to 140 years disease free, would you be interested? Although longevity is possible, it doesn't just happen. We must do something positive in order to live well into what I call "The Wisdom Years."

A verse in Proverbs from the Amplified Bible says, "He who does not use his endeavors to heal himself (or keep himself healed), is brother to him who commits suicide". Wow, that's pretty direct.

We will be approaching health and disease from a "Holistic" point of view, which actually means "lifestyles". Our bodies are wonderfully designed so as to always seek to live in a state of homeostasis, but in order to do that all parts must work together. Stress for instance will interfere with digestion and assimilation of nutrients, plus it puts your body in a state of "fight or flight." Processed, high fat, sugar laidened, over cooked foods are full of chemicals that have very little, if any nutritional value and have no life in them.
